Leek High Specialist Technology School Seismometer

Seismometers for Schools is a national project coordinated through the British Geological Survey where universities donate seismometers to local schools, including training and mentoring of the use of them.
Leek High Specialist Technology School are taking part in the Keele and Partners Seismology Network by working with Keele University and the Science Learning Centre, West Midlands.
Leek High now has a SEP Seismometer obtained through this project which is sensitive enough to detect the minute vibrations from earthquakes on the other side of the world.
