A group of year 11 students enjoyed Poetry Day on the 8th October. They were invited to take part in Leek Library's celebrations of the event: 'Say it like it is'. All students found their inner poet and wrote some of their own work. It was also a chance to enjoy poetry and have fun. Some students were asked to read the work of other poets too. A good time was had by all. Poetry can be exciting and this trip out proved that to be true! Thanks to all who went. Who knows… we may have the next Wordsworth or Shakespeare amongst us?
