A Governor since 2001, I chair the Staffing Committee and previously chaired the Standards and Achievements Committee. I am a Senior Fellow at the University of Manchester where I teach project management to undergraduates, postgraduates and on Executive Education courses. I have previously run my own consultancy business and worked for Deloitte Consulting, ICI Chemicals and Polymers, ICI Pharmaceuticals (now Astrazeneca), Shell UK and in Further Education. |

I started as a parent governor in 2002 and have two children who have both been to Leek High before going on to university. Now a Community Governor I am chairman of the Resources Committee that oversees the management of the school’s finances and Health & Safety throughout the school. I am also a member of the Strategic Leadership Group that sets the vision and targets for the school. |

My name is Catherine Bennett. I have four children and I am a former MFL teacher. I have been a school governor for over 25 years. During this period of time I have served on the governing bodies of four Leek schools and I am currently Vice Chair of Governors at Churnet View. |

My wife Anila and I are proud parents of two former leek high students who have both gone on to university. I am also a governor at Churnet View Middle School and Beresford Memorial School. |

My husband James and I are the proud parents of two former Leek High pupils who subsequently graduated at top English universities and we very much appreciate the School's major contribution to their progress. I sincerely believe the School has an excellent future at the heart of our community. |

I am currently Headteacher at Churnet View Middle School and a National Leader of Education working with The National College for School Leadership based in Nottingham supporting other schools in the West Midlands. I have been teaching in Leek for over 25 years and have taught all phases. I am a teacher by vocation and absolutely love my role in making a real difference to children's lives. |

Prior to becoming an associate governor at Leek High, I was a parent governor for a number of years. Originally from the Tameside area, I have lived in Leek for the past 15 years. My son attended Leek High before moving to Buxton College where he is studying music. Before working in my husband's graphic design and print business, I worked in Further Education as a teacher. I have always had a keen interest in education and I am pleased that Leek High continues to go from strength to strength. I am currently studying for my Bachelor of Philosophy at Birmingham University. |

A retired Managing Director of a local company and Secretary of Leek U3A, with a BA (Hons) degree. Previously a governor at Horton Lodge School and a voluntary mentor at HM Prison for Young Offenders for 4 years. Keen on travel and Art, and a crossword addict. I believe that school governors should represent all strands of society, business, academia, etc. |
